Well, Hello there! Remember me? I am the lady who used to write this blog. I am sorry I have been absent for so long, but hopefully I can get back into the swing of blogging regularly. Since Halloween is right around the corner, let's have a contest.

I used to read a lot of True Crime back in the day...used to scare me to where I couldn't sleep..Finally gave them up hahaha...I need my sleep to hook. :-) Happy Halloween.

I've never been that big on scary stuff.
I dont really enjoy scary books. Thay being said, Dean Koonts, not sure of spelling, could always suck me into his storyline, get me to care about the characters, then go off on a wild scifi tangent and keep me up at night. I will not even pick up his books anymore. Shudder just thinking about it. Boooo.
I used to be ok with the scary stuff..now that I have gotten older I really really don't like it...I think the stuff they make movies and write about seems alot darker ... by the way I am happy to see you here in blogland again

I don't really like scary books but recently I have read Metro 2033 and I liked it.
I find all your patterns either striking or whimsical and sometimes both! I am really not much of a scary story person or scary Halloween type of movie person.
I am not a big book reader [except crochet patterns...lol] thanks to my English teacher in high school. My scary movie is Chucky. Thanks for the opportunity and glad your blog is back.

I like real life ghost stories because they usually aren't that scary.

I can't think of any ghost stories.. Movies? The ghost and Mrs. Muir the old B/W version of course with the handsome ghost Sea Captain, and oh that beautiful house...:) How is crochet of any kind designed? Do you graph it out on paper, or just start moving the hook and see what appears? This is a another beautiful doily...thank you for hosting the giveaway..oh, I do like Ghost Hunters the show....not to scary...
I always loved Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz with pictures by Stephen Gammell. The creepiness of the stories coupled with the creepiness of the black and white illustrations made for excellent reading. Also, the stories were far enough out of the realm of reality that I didn't stay up scared at night as other media might have me doing.
The book of Revelation is the scariest book I've ever read. But now that I know Jesus I'm not afraid of what is to come.

I don't really do scary…well, unless I just happen to look at myself in the mirror early in the morning when I get up…that's pretty scary, trust me! :)
Watchers by Dean Koontz. i loved the dog who spelled with the Scrabble tiles.
I'm not into scary stories,though did used to enjoy the Alfred Hitchcock short stories as a child.That's the closest to scary that I get :D
Haunted heartland. I would even read it to my son and his friends :)
My scariest story would be when my husband worked for a Security Company. We were dating at the time. He had to patrol an old set of vacant buildings that at one time in history use to be a TB Hospital in the town we lived in.
One night I went with him, one of the things he had to do was go into certain buildings and check them out.
In the hallway of one of the buildings was a steel casket parked up against the wall. One trip through the sheets were stretched tight a few trips later it looked just like someone was laying in the casket.
The hair on my neck stood up. I never liked going by that area after that.
There's many other things that happened while on patrol that spooked me big time.
I do like a good true crime book.
I don't care for scary books or movies. I would much rather spend my time crocheting or looking at crochet work that other people have done. I would be thrilled to win one of your patterns. I enjoy reading your blog and seeing your beautifully talented crochet creations. Thanks, Susan
The scariest book I've read recently was "What the Night Knows" by Dean Koontz. My hubby and I are big fans of Dean Koontz, Stephen King and Ted Dekker. I think reading scary novels helps me appreciate how wonderful and good my life is.

It would have to be Amityville Horror. I'm not one to be scared by books but this book, when read at night and in bed, gave me the willies! I decided to put it down and read it during the daytime. It's the only book that's ever done that to me.

My favorite is still The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving.
oh I don't do scary stories... although I love mysteries, and many of the classic Agatha Christie books are pretty darn spooky!
