Jenny's New Afternoon Stroll

Talented Jenny (who made the gorgeous version of Afternoon Stroll in pink and green posted a few weeks ago) has made another version of the doily, this time using a peach and brown color scheme.
I love seening how just changing the colors used gives it a whole new look!

New Designs

I know I have been pretty bad about posting lately, I am so sorry and will try to do better in the future. But, on the bright side, I have been crocheting!
Here is the infamous ruffled doily, all finished and nicely starched. And here is another doily that will go in the Ripples, Ruffles and Roses set. Here is the Angel of Love with her hair. But I still need to add beads to the doves for eyes. And here is the gift doily that will come with the Angel of Love (this has not been blocked yet)
And no, this is not a pin cushion (although it could be!) This is the first of a new series I am doing called Tea Cup Bouquets. This is the Springtime Bouquet. There will be others in this series for different seasons and holidays.
Each will be an arrangement of crocheted flowers in a tea cup, with a matching doily (I haven't made the doily for this one yet). I think it will look much better after it is assembled and the pins removed.
I am also working on a couple of yarn projects that I have not photographed yet.
And best of all, I have been working on a really big project, that I hope to announce in the next couple of weeks. It is not exactly a design, but it is something I have dreamed of for a long time. I will let you know more about it soon!

The Never Ending Doily

I started this doily last Friday. It went really quickly until I got to the last few rounds. When I started making the last two rounds of ruffles, work slowed to a crawl. I worked on the last round of edging most of the afternoon and I am only half way around it! It is for a set I am calling "Ripples, Ruffles and Roses." At this rate, this may be the only ruffled doily in the set. The hook has actually rubbed a blister on my finger, and I did not think that was possible at this point. I have had callouses on my fingers from the thread and hook since I was 18 (oh so long ago!)
Anyway, I really do love this doily, it reminds me of a tutu, so girly and pretty in pink. I just hope it is worth the pain!
