Threadie's May 2015 Crochet Along (CAL)

I just finished my doily for the Threadie's Facebook group's monthly Crochet Along.

This month, we are making the stunning 'Summer Splendor' doily, designed by Denise Owen.
You can find the pattern here:
Summer Splendor

I decided to go a little nuts with the colors this month. I picked out all my favorite shades of pink and green, then added soft yellow as an accent color. I changed colors on almost every round.

It is so much fun to see all of the different color combinations folks are coming up with!
It is not too late to join us if you would like to. We would love to have you!

I hope you will join us!

Threadie's March 2015 Crochet Along (CAL)

The Threadie's Facebook Crochet Along for March 2015 started yesterday (March 2) but I cheated a little bit and started mine last Saturday.
I finished it up last night, and I have to say, if you don't like making tr cluster stitches, this is not the pattern for you!
I made mine in shaded greens, to give it a spring-time feel. I really like how it turned out!
It is a vintage pattern, and a little bit confusing, but a good picture helps immensely!

It is so much fun to see the other members of the group's doilies, everyone seems to choose different colors!

You can find the pattern for the Fern Leaf Doily here:

And the Threadies group is here:

Happy New Year and a Crochet Along

Happy 2015! I hope your new year is filled with blessings of love, joy and prosperity (and lots of crochet goodness, too)!

To start things off, why not join the Threadies facebook group in our very first Crochet Along (CAL) that starts this coming Saturday, Jan. 3. We will  all be making the same doily pattern (it is a free pattern you can find online) but choosing our own colors and threads. Everyone works at their own pace, and posts pictures of their progress whenever they can.  It should be fun to see what everyone comes up with!
You can find more information here:

I hope to see you there!
Happy New Year!
