Thank you for this absolutely gorgeous doily, Ann! It is one of my all-time favorites. The design is stunning, yet the pattern is very "do-able" and easy to follow, as are all your patterns. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteLovely, thank you!
ReplyDeleteIt is a very beautiful doily! It looks wonderful in all three color variations. Thank you for sharing the pattern!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this easy pattern...it took me 6 hours to make the doily, still the small roses to make. I was wondering why do we have to make a large rose "center"? I don;t understand the purpose. Is it to glue underneath the large rose so that it stays flat?
ReplyDeleteThank you for specifying this to me...I'm a beginner!
Dominique
Dominique, the center for the large rose is just to make it look more like the small roses. It is not necessary if you do not want to make it. You are doing great for a beginner!!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW.............
ReplyDeleteIk heb dit patroon nog in een haakboekje van 1973? In het Nederlands
ReplyDeleteik denk dat daar geen copyricht meer op staat. Kan ik dat ook delen?
Groetjes Petra
Hi Petra! I know a lot of doilies look similar, but I designed this one and wrote the pattern out all by myself. It is protected by copyright laws (as are all of my patterns,) so it is illegal to share the actual pattern. You can share the link to this page, and I always greatly appreciate link shares! Thanks! Ann
ReplyDeleteI just finished making this, Ann, and it's come out really pretty! I made it in lavender, cream and a dull olive green for my mother's best friend's sixtieth birthday. Thank you for this beautiful pattern. It was really easy to follow. I'm off Facebook at the moment, but when I'm back I'll share this on Threadies.
