Pam, if you will send me an email and let me know which one of my patterns you would like, I will get it right out to you.
I loved reading your favorite scary stories (but believe me, I understand those of you who do not want to read them, too!)
The scariest book I ever read was called "Cold Moon Over Babylon" by Michael McDowell. It was so terrifying and sad that I could never read it a second time, even though it was a really good book (if that makes any kind of sense- this is why I don't do book reviews on Amazon!) It is certainly the kind of book that will give you nightmares!
But I was thinking, since it has been so long since I had a contest, why not go ahead and have another one today?
So, let's have another contest!
I will give one person their choice of any PDF pattern on my site, bellacrochet.com.
I will select the winner at random, and send out the patterns in the morning (Thursday.) I will post the name of the winner here, so be sure to check back in the morning to see if you won.
Also, if you post anonymously, please be sure I have a way to identify you (at least give your first name or a nick name in your comment; I have no way of knowing who is posting.)
To enter, just leave a comment answering this question:
Do you have a favorite scary movie or tv program? (I know some of you answered this yesterday, it is okay to repeat your answer if you want to.)
This contest is now closed.
Please check back soon for my next contest.
I just never have gotten into the whole scary thing-don't have nightmares or anything if I see or read something, it just doesn't do much for me. :-( I also tend to laugh at inappropriate times at movies and shows because they are so over the top I find them amusing, which may be why people don't often take me to scary movies. :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't like watching scary movies because they might give me nightmares.

How did I mess yesterday's contest??? Ah well, I am here today.
ReplyDeleteI don't usually watch scary movies or read scary books any more; my recovery time is getting too long. LOL
Having said that, my favorite scary movie is an oldie, "Psycho." I still get shivers when I think of it. (Still pouting about missing yesterday's contest!)
Rosina
It's nit very scary, but Young Frankenstein is my favirite holloween movie.
ReplyDeleteI love the early Stephen King. Salems Lot would be my favorite. His later works I don't care for as well.
ReplyDeleteStephen Kings earlier books were my favorites for a long time. I still have over a shelf full! But I must say that Cujo was the hands down scariest! Could not put it down, but definitely could not pick it up again either.
ReplyDeleteThe tv show Paranormal Witness gives me nightmares and yet I continue to watch it every week lol
ReplyDeleteI slept with my parents at the age of 17 after watching the Exorcist. At 48 I still can't watch thais movie. No matter how hard I try, I can never get the image of her face out of my mind. EEEk!
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes did the TV show American Horror Story freak me out. I still haven't had the courage to watch AHS Asylum or AHS Coven.
ReplyDeleteI used to love watching scary movies. Until I saw The Ring. I couldn't turn the lights out at night after seeing that one! After watching Insidious I decided that movies like that just weren't for me anymore.
Each Halloween, I watch The Others. I like it because it's a ghost story but there's no blood and gore, and there's a surprise ending. Even though I know the ending, I still watch it every year and wonder, how did I miss that clue? HA!
ReplyDeleteI'm not much for scary movies either, but the one that sticks in my memories is JAWS!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe first time I saw JAWS it was raining outside and when we left the theatre, I was scared to even walk through the puddles! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful surprise this morning. Thank you very much. I just sent you an email.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to the next round of contestants.

It is a tie between The Shining, and It..both by stephen king..kind of stayed with me for awhile..and still don't like clowns..
ReplyDeleteI have a love-hate relationship with alien movies. I love scary movies with aliens in them because I find them really interesting but I'm also terrified of the thought and then I snuggle up extra close to my husband when I'm trying to sleep!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Pam! :) No favorite scary anything for me. LOL Thanks again for the chance to win. :)
