Time for Tea

I'm a little Tea Pot, short and stout.(And I'm a little Tea Cup)
Here is my Handle, Here is my Spout.
When I get all steamed up, hear me shout:
"Just tip me over and pour me out!"

I have been working on a new pattern set this week (well, part of it is new, part of it is a re-worked version of some designs I did several years ago.) In addition to this "Tea Pot and Cup Wall Art" design, there will also be Tea Pot and Tea Cup Potpourri holders. I wanted to work on something besides doilies for a change, but now I can't wait to get this set done so I can get back to work on the "Angel of Love" doily!

Fairy Lace Doily

I am working on the pattern for the Fairy Lace Doily this afternoon. I took a few pictures to go in the pattern. I don't have any fairy figurines, which I guess would be the thing to place on it. But I do like how my unicorn, Violetta, looks on it.
And I think one of my Lefton hands looks pretty on it, too. This picture makes me think of the inside of a gypsy wagon (kind of bohemian.)
The photography I do is never exactly how I want it to be; I need better backgrounds and lighting. But I will keep working at it. At least I know how my designs should look, so I will just keep trying.

Thank you

I want to thank everyone for your kind comments and the emails you sent after my last post. Working at home as I do, I sometimes feel isolated and alone. It is wonderful to know that I have so many lovely friends and supporters!
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all.
Love,
Ann

So Far...

I know you don't come to this blog to hear about my problems, but I just want to let you know that so far, 2010 has been a pretty rough year for my family and me. I have not been able to get much work done, and I don't know when I will be able to get back on track. I will be going out of town again in the morning and I am not sure when I will be back. I still do not have the Woodland Fairy doily ready for testing.
But crochet is not only my career, it is also my comforter and sanity-saver, so I am sure I will be picking something up to work on whenever I can.
I will talk to you when I get back. Take care.
Love,
Ann

New items in my Etsy shop

I have added three new patterns to my Etsy shop.
First is the "Ring Around the Rosie" baby blanket, hat and slippers set: The hat and booties can be made in either Newborn-3 months or 6 months size.
Next is the "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" baby blanket, hat and booties set:

And finally, the "Sedona Wrap":

I am working hard on the Woodland Fairy doily so I can get it out to be tested as soon as possible. And I have finished the background for the next Lovely Ladies doily, which will be called "Angel of Love." I will post a picture of it later this week.

Gourmet Crochet Blog

If you are a fan of Carolyn Christmas, or love cool and unique crochet designs, you will want to check out Carolyn's wonderful new blog at: http://gourmetcrochet.blogspot.com/
Starting today (Tuesday), she will be posting a different afghan block daily. The finished blocks will be assembled into an afghan called “Variations on a Theme,” and should be amazing.
Carolyn is an awesome designer, and I am fortunate to have her as a friend. She has given me so much wonderful advice over the years, and has always encouraged me to grow as a designer. I know anything she designs is going to be beautiful!

Fairy Lace Doily

I just finished this little sweet little doily; I am calling it "Fairy Lace." It will be the free gift pattern with purchase of the "Woodland Fairy" doily. I wanted to call it "Woodland Lace" but I think there is already an old vintage doily with that name. I wanted something delicate and lacy to contrast with the more solid Woodland Fairy.
I have not blocked it yet, but right now it is about 11" across.
I am pleased with how it turned out. What do you think?

Happy New Year!

"What the new year may bring, we cannot know, but I pray God's blessing may fall on us as softly as apple blossoms fall in spring."
Gladys Taber

Happy New Year to you and yours!
