One thing I truly miss from my old house since I moved to the farm last winter is my roses. I had dozens of old fashioned and shrub roses that I had planted through the years. David built this house in the middle of an old hay field, so we have a beautiful lawn, but no flowers. The sweet lady down the road (who has a gorgeous yard) gave us several crepe myrtle trees a couple of months ago. This morning I noticed this tiny rose bush that was growing in the middle of one of the trees. What a sweet little surprise! I don't know what kind of rose it is, or how large it will get. I may have to move it next fall. But for now I will enjoy these sweet little blossoms.
